PRS Supplies was launched in 2014 and is based in Dudley in the West Midlands.
We specialise in placing your images or brand on to a wide variety of high quality products using the latest sublimation technology.
History
The PRS Supplies website was launched in September 2017 after trading online for a number of years through a well known auction site achieving a 100% satisfaction rate from over 2500 customers. In July of 2017 the decision was taken to offer a more professional service to our customers and work began to build our own dedicated website.
Personal Service
Unlike other websites that allow customers to upload and design their products online, we offer a bespoke one-to-one service where we do that for them meaning they have more control over how the finished product will look before proceeding with the order. We can change more aspects of the design, give advice and guidance to our customers.
What is 'sublimation'?
Sublimation is the name given to the printing method used to place images on to products. Normal printing processes using ink merely print onto a blank surface which over time can scratch or fade away, whereas sublimation printing uses high temperature heat presses to infuse the image into the product resulting in a permanent print to provide protection and durability. This makes the product less likely to fade or rub off.
Sublimation delivers better imaging with wider colour gamuts and more precise colour clarity – all of which are required for capturing important details in ways other printing processes cannot match.
The printing process
Using dedicated computer software images are sized up and 'proofed' up.
Images are then printed out onto special transfer paper using the latest printing technology.
Once the image is printed out it is 'married' up to the face of the printable item and secured in place. The item is then placed into a heat press and heated under high pressure for a set time. After the set time is up the item is taken out of the heat press and allowed to cool down. Once cooled, the process is then complete and the item is ready for packaging!
